Job Summary
Operating Room Nurse in Reston, VA This role involves providing high-quality perioperative nursing care within a busy and diverse surgical unit. The position requires collaboration with surgical teams across various specialties, including orthopedics, neuro, general, GYN, urology, vascular, and thoracic, with an emphasis on trauma experience.

Job Details

• Location: Reston, VA
• Shift Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, certifications specific to role, licensed and experienced in operating room environments, with at least 2 years of recent OR experience
• Responsibilities: Providing comprehensive perioperative care, assisting with a wide range of surgical procedures such as spinal fusion, total joint replacements, DaVinci Robot procedures, and trauma cases
• Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 trauma experience, expertise in spine and orthopedic procedures
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Additional Information: Candidates must have trauma experience and proficiency across several surgical specialties, including familiarity with EMR systems and unit policies. On-call work is expected, including weekends and nights, with approximately four 12-hour shifts per 8-week schedule.
