Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse, located in Utica, New York. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy and diverse ED environment. The role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility to float across units, and the ability to manage a wide range of patient needs, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); current New York Registered Nurse license; all RN licenses; valid drivers license matching demographic information; documentation of at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience with some Pediatric experience; travel experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) in EPIC.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Unit features include 64 beds, with specialized areas such as triage, acute care, trauma, and psychiatric units. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
