Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a qualified Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurse for a community hospital located in Lee`s Summit, Missouri. The position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced medical surgical unit with telemetry capabilities, covering various adult and geriatric patient diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for managing diverse clinical cases, including cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions, while adhering to established protocols and safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licenses, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications, and at least 2 years of recent community hospital experience in a telemetry setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Float: Float to Medical Surgical Units as needed within scope to meet facility requirements.
• Additional Information:
  • Experience with interpreting dysrhythmias, managing cardiac and Vasoactive drips, and life support response is preferred.
  • Candidates must be willing to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule and accommodate a block schedule if applicable.
  • RTO (Return to Office) restrictions include a maximum of 7 days off, to be finalized at time of submission.
  • RNs should complete required compliance documentation, labs, and EMR modules before start.
  • The role involves managing patients with diagnoses including AMI, cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, chest pain, Vascular/PVD, infections, GI bleed, and post/cardiac cath procedures.
