Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical with Telemetry in Macon, Georgia. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy, team-oriented environment on an inpatient medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring. The role requires strong assessment skills, experience with cardiac rhythms, and the ability to manage multiple patient needs during 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Med/Surg RN with telemetry; experience with trach care, chest tube management, IV maintenance, and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in medical-surgical nursing is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, with RNs floating to all Med/Surg/Telemetry units in the facility as needed.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 1 day of educational modules and 2 days departmental training. Weekend rotations consist of 5-6 shifts every 6 weeks. Holiday shifts include major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. During orientation, there will be an EKG competency assessment. The unit uses EPIC electronic medical record, Phillips monitors, and other telemetry technology. The unit culture is busy and team-oriented.
