Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Bryson City, North Carolina. This position involves providing inpatient care on a 17-bed unit within a critical access hospital serving adults aged 18 and older, with a focus on elderly patient populations. The role requires dedication to teamwork and delivering quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Nursing license valid in the state, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and at least 2 years of clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, including PICC/CVC management and wound care.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a critical access hospital setting and familiarity with teamwork-oriented units.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between the facility and Harris Regional.
  • Additional Information: This unit provides inpatient, observation, and swing bed services, with no surgical procedures performed on-site. There are 24-hour provider coverage and access to PT/OT/Speech therapy, respiratory therapy, and diagnostic imaging services. The job begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027.
