Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) nurse position available in a general medical-surgical setting with telemetry in an unspecified location. • Location: Not specified
• Schedule: Nights, 7 PM 7 AM, 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, RN License in the state of Texas or a compact license, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIH certification, 2 years of experience in the related nursing specialty, EPIC experience highly preferred/recommended
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
  • Address increasing complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice
  • Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient information
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
  • Make appropriate clinical assignments and delegated tasks to other care providers to help manage the clinical situation
• Additional Information:
  • Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of situations
  • Perform under the expectation of the applicable OneCHRISTUS competencies including Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Continue to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing
