Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) the healthcare facilitys high volume delivery center in Iowa. This role involves providing specialized care to obstetric patients, managing labor and delivery processes, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The position requires comprehensive skills in fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and high-risk obstetrics.
Job Details
- Position Type: Travel assignment
- Location: Iowa
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), AWHONN certification for fetal monitoring, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Experience: At least 2 years of current Labor and Delivery (LD) experience, including circulating and scrub experience; high acuity and high-volume delivery experience required, with experience at larger centers (200-300 deliveries/month) preferred
- Skills Checklist: Specific to Labor and Delivery / LD discipline
- Licensing: Active Iowa license required
- Work history: Recent employment within the last 24 months in Labor and Delivery / LD
- Additional Requirements: Must be comfortable floating to postpartum 1-2 shifts a week; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; EPIC STORK experience preferred; previous travel contract experience and EPIC EMR experience are advantageous
- Submission Requirements: Professional reference from supervisor or manager within 24 months, valid drivers license, and applicable certifications
