Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Locations to be specified. This role involves providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of assessing, planning, and implementing patient care, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and fostering a collaborative environment within the care team.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Start date is 10/19/2026, with an end date of 04/19/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, certification in BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP. Pending license applications are accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Level I Neonatal Nursery, and familiarity with community hospital settings.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with 0-3 float shifts per month. All floating from OB includes assisting with various tasks such as helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work.
- Additional Information: Candidates will participate in patient assessments, labor support, postpartum care, and newborn assessments. The role involves hands-on procedures like fetal monitoring, medication administration, and assisting with high-risk deliveries. Orientation hours and the use of specific equipment such as fetal monitors, radiant warmers, and labor beds are part of the orientation process.
