Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in Richmond, Virginia. This position involves providing specialized cardiac surgical care within a hospital`s cardiovascular operating room. The role requires proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases, including bypass procedures, thoracic surgeries, and ECMO initiation, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Virginia (or Compact) nursing license, BLS certification, 2 years of hospital setting experience, proficiency in cardiac surgical procedures including bypass, thoracic surgery, ECMO, and VATS, and experience with open thoracotomy and pericardial window.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass, Da Vinci-assisted surgeries, and ability to take call.
• Additional Information: Candidates must demonstrate advanced surgical skills in cardiac and thoracic procedures, be able to work the unit`s hours of operation (starting at 6:30 AM), and be prepared for weekend call duty as assigned. Uniform requirement is hospital-provided scrubs.
