Job Summary:
The professional is a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Newborn Nursery located at a healthcare facility in Salem, Virginia. This role involves providing comprehensive care to newborns and supporting maternal and pediatric services in a busy maternity care center. The position requires active engagement in various neonatal and postpartum procedures within a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); experience in obstetrics and newborn care; current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN (Association of Women`s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cesarean section procedures, circulating, assisting, or scrub roles.
- Position Description: Responsible for labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum and newborn care; OBED triage, inductions, and collaboration with midwives.
- Float: Within the unit, floating to other areas of the same department may be required.
