Registered Nurse / Post Partum Floor

Job Summary:
Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Denver, Colorado. This position involves providing high-quality postpartum care in a busy hospital unit. The role requires managing patient care, educating new parents, and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital postpartum/mother/baby experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Mother/Baby Unit, flexibility with schedules, and ability to adapt quickly to new situations.
• Additional Information: The unit has approximately 23 beds with about 80 staff members, including registered nurses, CNAs, and charge nurses. Typical procedures include monitoring vital signs, medication administration, perineal care, and parent education on newborn safety and bonding. The unit utilizes the Meditech electronic medical record system and CPN computer system.
