Job Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (ORT) in Vail, CO. This position involves supporting surgical teams by maintaining sterile fields, preparing instruments, and assisting with patient transport and room turnover. The role requires a focus on safety, aseptic technique, and effective communication within the perioperative team, with a focus on Tier 1 surgical cases.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 32 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist; licensed as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ability to acquire necessary computer skills within 90 days; proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking; valid Colorado Surgical Technologist license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a surgical setting or OR environment.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The position supports the implementation of sterile and aseptic techniques, instrument preparation, and assists with patient transports and room preparations. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and professional standards, including effective communication and model behavior consistent with a Just Culture.
