Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nurse Specialty - Peoria, Illinois. This acute care position involves providing specialized telemetry nursing services in a hospital setting. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiac and other medical conditions, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and clinical skills on a night shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning 08/17/2026
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a related setting; experience in telemetry nursing, EKG interpretation, medication titration, and all basic nursing skills; RN licensure; ability to read and interpret telemetry strips.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• Additional Information: This role involves working in an adult acute care unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4 to 1:6 during night shifts. Telemetry RNs are required to troubleshoot telemetry monitors, read strips, and interpret data on Phillips brand monitors. The unit has a diverse patient population with conditions such as MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgeries, and post-operative care including chest tubes and esophagectomy. Staffing includes PCTs and respiratory therapy equipment. Nurses must adhere to dress code policies and notify supervisors of any issues with equipment or patient care. Holiday and weekend rotations are required, and floating to other general medical units is expected.
