Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in telemetry in Salem, Massachusetts. This position involves providing nursing care on a 37-bed medical telemetry unit, with a focus on patients with cardiac conditions, including those on medication drips and post-procedural care. The role requires reading telemetry strips and managing acute patient needs during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift hours, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, start date 09/06/2026
• Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Telemetry Certification, minimum of 2 years experience working in a single location and 2 years as a traveler nurse, experience with cardiac drips and interpreting telemetry strips preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Travelers may be required to float to applicable units as needed
• Additional Information: The location features a 37-bed telemetry unit caring for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia. Care includes managing patients on medications like Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, and Heparin, as well as post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patients. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on day and evening shifts and 1:5-6 on night shift. Electronic medical records are maintained in EPIC.
