Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) nursing position in a healthcare facility specializing in advanced surgical procedures. The role involves providing specialized perioperative care, supporting complex surgeries including robotic and open cases, and working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position offers opportunities to handle a diverse caseload across multiple surgical specialties.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: CA Registered Nurse (RN) license, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification. A minimum of 3 years of OR experience, previous travel assignment experience, and scrub and circulate procedures are required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR
• Special Procedures and Equipment: Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, robotic cases, open belly cases, cystoscopy, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgeries, and handling advanced equipment such as fiber optic light sources and electrosurgical units.
• Patient Care: The role includes supporting adult and geriatric patient populations with diverse diagnoses such as cancer, obesity, and organ-specific conditions. Experience with laparoscopic, robotic, and open surgical cases is preferred.
• Additional Information: The candidate may handle procedures like Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS), Craniotomy, Liver and Kidney transplants, neuro, spine, and vascular surgeries, as well as utilizing the Davinci Xi Robot. Flexibility to float within facilities may be required, and orientation hours amount to 40 hours prior to start.
