Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Nurse practicing on a Medical Surgical Floor in Casper, Wyoming. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of adult patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The position requires using specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Job Details:

• Position: Registered Nurse Medical Surgical Floor
• Location: Casper, Wyoming
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license in Wyoming, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree in nursing (BSN) or higher, professional certification in specialty areas of practice.
• Additional Information: This role involves direct patient care, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, and documentation of patient assessments, plans, and outcomes. Responsibilities include evaluating patient responses, delegating tasks when appropriate, participating in unit quality initiatives, and supporting growth of team members through education and mentoring. The position may also involve supervising staff and work flow as needed.
