Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular at a facility in Glenview, Illinois, will provide specialized acute patient care within a cardiovascular-focused intensive care setting. This role involves assessing, monitoring, and managing complex cardiac patients, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and adhering to clinical protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license, CPR, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiovascular intensive care units; experience in interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery care, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience in cardiovascular ICU.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU if needed.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must have Epic experience and be comfortable working in a cardiovascular-focused environment. Responsibilities include venipuncture, ventilator management, infection control, and advanced cardiac monitoring. Submission of an updated resume, recent CV ICU skills checklist, supervisor reference, passing EKG test (80% or above), and verification of IL licensure is required.
