Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Wausau, WI. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced trauma level II environment. The role requires independent work and resilience, with specific focus on trauma, neuro, cardiac, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour days, shifts starting at 0500-1700, 0900-2100, or 1000-2200, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS- ARC or AH A; a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, including trauma Level II experience; associate degree or certificate; prior travel experience preferred but not required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley.
• Additional Information: The clinical environment includes a trauma level II, 18-bed unit with stroke certification, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care. Candidate must be a hard worker, resilient, adaptable to change, and able to manage independently. Charting is performed using EPIC system, with on-site lab, medication dispenser, and x-ray staff. RN responsibilities include drawing labs and administering neb treatments. During flu season, decliners of flu and COVID vaccinations are required to wear masks at all times.
