Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Chapel Hill, North Carolina The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse provides competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards in a hospital setting. Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Director, the ICU RN is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on critically ill patients requiring specialized attention.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC); 0 years of experience needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Additional Information: The role involves assessing complex patient data, implementing appropriate care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, performing bedside point of care testing, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Emphasis on patient education, discharge planning, and cost-effective care practices is essential.
