Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
The project involves a Medical Surgical (MS) nurse working on a general surgical floor in Torrington, Wyoming. This role focuses on providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of Wyoming or appropriate compact licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least 1 year of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing; professional certification relevant to medical-surgical nursing.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients` physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and developmental needs, formulating care plans, coordinating care, and documenting interventions and responses accurately. They will also participate in professional development activities, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support patient education and discharge planning.
