Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in San Jose, California. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy labor and delivery unit, supporting deliveries, cesarean sections, and other related cases. The position is scheduled for day shifts, with rotation and weekend coverage as needed.

Job Details

• Shift: Day Shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), California nursing license, minimum four years of experience in labor and delivery, and current credentials.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Meditech/CPN.

  • Floor: 2nd Floor, General Area
  • Department: Labor and Delivery (L&D)
  • Number of Beds: 10
  • Staff: 120 members including charge nurses, unit clerks, scrub techs, Registered Nurses (RNs), and sitters based on patient census
  • Certifications necessary: BLS
  • Equipment used: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Meditech/CPN
  • Typical procedures: Deliveries, cesarean sections, and other labor-related cases
• Personnel:
  • Number of Positions: 4 to 5
  • Schedule details: Rotating weekends based on hospital policies
  • Dress Code: Scrubs per unit guidelines
