Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Neurological

Job Summary:
The ICU Neurological Specialty Nurse position is located in Albany, New York. This role involves providing specialized care to patients in the neurological intensive care unit, focusing on trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU cases. The position requires prior travel experience, and candidates must have a minimum of two years of ICU staff experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU settings, including trauma level one experience.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in ICU nursing, appropriate educational background, current licensing, and at least 2 years of ICU staff experience in trauma, surgical, and neurological ICU patients, including trauma level one experience. Experience with Epic electronic medical record system, previous travel experience, and ability to meet competency testing within 24 hours of submission. Must wear navy blue scrubs; local candidates in ineligible counties are not accepted.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel nurse experience within neurological ICU, proficiency with Epic EMR system, ability to float to other units if necessary.
• Additional Information: The position is vacant and open due to internal vacancy. The work environment requires adherence to facility dress code and parking regulations. Candidates must provide an active email for communication and competency testing.
