Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse position located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized cardiac and geriatric patient care in a high-acuity environment. The position offers flexibility across day, night, and mid-shift hours, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and at least 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac patients, including care for post-operative cardiac catheterization, pacemakers, and TAVR procedures.
• Float: Not normally floated but may be required to float to one-to-one patient assignments depending on staffing needs.
• Additional Information: Candidates must complete all required screenings prior to start. The unit predominantly cares for geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses such as chest pain, myocardial infarction, open-heart surgery, post-op cardiac cath, and post-op pacer management. Dress code is scrubs in any color, with no hoodies allowed; nose studs only piercings permitted.
