Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse for a healthcare facility located in Lubbock, Texas. This position involves providing advanced critical care to adult and geriatric patients. The ICU RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to float between units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning 08/24/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Texas license (or compact license), at least 2 years of ICU experience, and certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, multisystem organ failure, arterial line management, and ventilated patient care.
• Patient Ratios: 2 patients per nurse during the day, with potential for float to sister ICUs, maintaining a 1:2/1:3 ratio based on unit need.
• Additional Information: This role requires the ability to respond to critical patient needs with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Candidates should be comfortable with specialized procedures such as continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and hemodynamic monitoring.
