Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Lubbock, Texas. The role involves providing patient care in a high-acuity environment, with the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. The ICU RN will be responsible for managing critical patient conditions, adhering to facility protocols, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/24/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Texas or Compact State license, at least 3 years of ICU nursing experience, 1.5 years of patient ratio experience, certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and required skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ failure, arterial line and central line care, ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and use of PPE.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with community hospital environments and trauma level II facilities.
  • Additional Information: This assignment involves float responsibilities to sister ICUs (SICU, CICU, NSICU), with potential for patient ratios up to 1:3 due to specialized patient needs. Candidates must commit to working at least 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks and work 3 of the 5 designated holidays. Orientation includes 28 hours of training. The patient census averages 13 daily, with responsibilities including critical procedures such as CRRT and advanced monitoring equipment.
