Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Tucson, Arizona. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to patients in a busy emergency department. The nurse will utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies, demonstrating leadership, critical thinking, and clinical competency. The role requires maintaining clinical skills through continuing education and supervising assigned staff to ensure safe patient care delivery.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 7:00 AM 7:30 PM (3x12s), minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Arizona nursing license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and at least 2 years of emergency room experience. Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience, willingness to float to other departments.
• Additional Information: The position supports a 38-bed emergency department that is Trauma Level III Certified, and both Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving designations are held. Start date is targeted within 2 weeks of offer acceptance. The assignment involves working on a contract basis, with a possible 48-hour guarantee.
