Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing care to adult patients undergoing a variety of medical and surgical treatments. The role requires strong clinical skills, especially in orthopedic procedures such as knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries, with a focus on ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license; no minimum years of experience required; strong orthopedic background; compassionate team player; facilities utilize Meditech documentation system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with knee, hip, and spine surgeries; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with hospital unit policies and guidelines.
• Additional Information: Candidate must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and be adaptable to unit policies. The unit staff includes a secretary, with additional PCTs and navigators. The unit has 26 beds, with patient ratios approximately 6:1. Staff may rotate through float policy as needed.
