Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Float Position is based in Johnson City, New York. This role involves providing patient care across a variety of medical-surgical units, supporting the organizations commitment to patient-centered care. The RN will deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing services, closely following established standards and protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm), 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: RN license from the State of New York; BLS certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross; nursing experience of 0.0 to 3 years; management experience of 0 to 3 years; at least 5 years of direct clinical experience; current certification in a related nursing specialty and relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the home unit.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior clinical experience in an acute care or outpatient setting.
• Skills: Proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system; strong collaboration, communication, critical thinking, organizational, problem-solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management skills.
• Additional Information: The RN will assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care; educate patients and families; administer medications following policies; participate in staff and quality improvement initiatives; and support professional development.
