Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical With Telemetry in Lee`s Summit, Missouri. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a community hospital setting, managing adult and geriatric patients with various medical conditions, and supporting interdisciplinary teams. The role requires adaptability to floating within scope to meet facility needs and adherence to safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); valid Missouri license or eligibility; 2 years of clinical experience and community hospital experience; charting system experience in EPIC or similar system
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience; work in settings such as MS/Tele, Telemetry Oncology, Cardiac Telemetry, ER Holding, Neuro Stepdown, or PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown; experience managing dysrhythmias, cardiac protocols, IV therapy, and emergency response procedures; cardiac monitoring interpretation skills
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This role involves managing post-cardiac angiogram, post-myocardial infarction, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and other cardiac-related procedures. Candidates must be flexible with holiday shifts and weekend work, including at least 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week period. Safety and patient care are prioritized, with responsibilities including telemetry monitoring, IV management, wound care, and emergency procedures. Certification in ACLS and CPI is required, with preference for previous charge nurse experience.
