Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care is needed in a high-acuity cardiac intensive care setting. This role involves providing advanced cardiac patient care, often involving complex cardiac devices such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). The position requires a dedicated professional with experience handling critically ill cardiac patients, working predominantly during night shifts in a busy ICU environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Baltimore, MD
• Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts; 3 out of 6 weekends (every other weekend); 2 12-hour call shifts per 6-week cycle; holidays as needed
• Required Qualifications: RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); minimum of 2 years current ICU or cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVSICU) nursing experience; experience operating cardiac equipment such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and pulmonary artery (PA) catheters; experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)
• Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic medical record system experience, ECMO experience, Critical Care Certification, trauma course
• Additional Information: Previous employment experience within any Johns Hopkins health system facility must be noted in the candidates work history and verified prior to offer. Float rotations are possible to area units with similar skill requirements.
