Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time role involves providing specialized recovery care to patients emerging from anesthesia. The healthcare provider seeks a dedicated nurse committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient patient care within a dynamic surgical environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts, with a schedule of four days per week and a minimum of 40 hours weekly
- Start Date: 08/17/2026
- Certifications/Qualifications: Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license; BLS Certification via AHA; ACLS Certification via AHA; PALS Certification via AHA
- Experience: 0 years minimum; up to 2 years preferred
- Additional Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; knowledge appropriate to the patient population served; effective communication skills tailored to patient development level; demonstrated respect and consideration for staff, physicians, patients, and families
- Clinical Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial assessments, prioritize patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluate patient outcomes, perform Point of Care testing, participate in patient and family education, and document timely interventions
- Floating and Location: Other units within surgical services; float rotation may be required
- EMR System: EPIC
- Dress Code: Graphite Gray Scrubs
- Schedule: Full-time, four days a week, 10-hour day shifts
