Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in the region`s hospital with a focus on providing comprehensive critical care to patients in a high-acuity environment. This role involves delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to unit protocols and patient safety standards.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; 0 years of experience; location in Texas; available to start on 08/24/2026.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience; cardiovascular surgery experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit has 24 beds with approximately 50 staff members, including RN, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and sitters. Equipment includes vents, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, and balloon pumps. The unit performs procedures such as intubation, central lines, bronchoscopy, external ventricular drains, intracranial pressure monitoring, Swan-Ganz pacers, and bolts. The team values excellent customer service skills. The dress code is scrub attire in royal blue. The unit operates with a schedule that includes every other weekend and potential on-call responsibilities, only for the scheduled shift.
