Job Summary
This position is for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse at a healthcare facility located in Watertown, New York. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a 12-hour day shift schedule. The assigned shift runs from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend, holiday, and call responsibilities. The contract duration is 13 weeks, and they prefer candidates with experience in critical care. Qualified candidates must have a current New York State Registered Nurse license and relevant certifications.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; current New York State RN license; BLS required; ACLS required; NIH required; at least 1 successful traveler assignment completed
- Preferred Qualifications: Current critical care experience; PALS preferred
- Additional Information: Must possess thorough knowledge of nursing principles, including the ability to provide quality patient care and assess patients` clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs. Ability to recognize safety issues and safely move or lift patients is required. Candidates should be able to work well under stress and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate are essential; may be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are also necessary.
