Emergency Room Nurse Bakersfield, California. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in an emergency department setting. The role requires independent clinical judgment, effective collaboration with healthcare team members, and adherence to established standards and protocols. The nurse will focus on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to optimize patient outcomes during their urgent and complex needs.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid and unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse (RN) license; minimum of 3 years of relevant ER experience; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; knowledge of advanced nursing practices, medical terminology, and infection control protocols; strong skills in patient assessment, nursing care coordination, critical thinking, nursing judgment, and medical terminology.
- Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a bachelors or associate degree.
- Additional Information: The role involves managing complex patient cases in a fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced clinical skills and maintaining compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. Active health requirements must be maintained as designated by the organization.
