Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Float

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Floating Nurse position in Minocqua, Wisconsin. This role involves providing critical care support across multiple units, including medical-surgical, ICU, pediatric, and emergency departments. The nurse will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population with complex needs on night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a registered nurse, ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association); minimum of 2 years of ICU experience; Wisconsin state nursing license; located within 80 miles of the facility
• Preferred Qualifications: ICU experience with pediatric patients is preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required to cover different units including ED, PACU, and Urology
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (American Heart Association)
• Shift & Scheduling: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts (0700 - 1930 and 1900 - 0730), with block scheduling if possible
• Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday
• Call or Standby: Yes, on-call rotation based on census volume
• Floating Requirements: Yes, in-house to Emergency Department, Urology, Post Anesthesia Care Unit as needed
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs for registered nurses, Ceil Blue scrubs for certified nursing assistants
• Orientation: 1 day of computer-based training and hospital orientation, plus 1-2 days on-shift orientation
• Experience: ICU experience with pediatric familiarity preferred
• Additional Information: Clinicians must clock in and out at the facility. Previous employment with the organization must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission. No trauma level specified.
