Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
neonatology Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Washington, District of Columbia. This position involves providing advanced neonatal emergency and routine care in a Level III NICU setting. The role requires expertise in ventilators, oscillators, pressors, and care of micro preemies, with on-call responsibilities during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of District of Columbia; NICU experience of at least 3 years; certifications including BLS, NRP, and STABLE; ability to perform vents, oscillators, pressors, and care for micro preemies.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: This role involves responding to neonatal emergencies, providing assessment and immediate care to newborns requiring close observation, and attending all high-risk deliveries and C-sections. Responsibilities include bedside procedures such as IV insertions, intubations, blood work, medication administration, and parent education. Most diagnostic services are performed at the bedside.
