Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) for a position located in Denver, Colorado. The role involves supporting cardiac patients, including acute myocardial infarction cases, electrophysiology procedures, and structural heart interventions. The nurse will monitor and circulate during procedures, adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift; 10-hour shifts; minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association) certifications; minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience; valid license to submit; experience with EPIC and MacLab EMR systems; must be able to start on 08/24/2026.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior cath lab experience in acute cardiac care settings; strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures and structural heart cases.
• Float: No floating outside of the unit; floating within Zone 3 (OCH, LUH, SAH, SANS) may be required in case of extreme need.
• Additional Information:
  • Room types include two catheter labs, two electrophysiology labs, and one hybrid room.
  • Approximately 17 cases per day on average.
  • Cardiologist hours from 07:00 to 17:30, with around 9 days of call per six-week schedule.
  • Charge nurse and manager roles are vacant; may involve self-scheduling with a combination of assigned and self-scheduled shifts.
  • Weeknight call: generally 1 night per week.
  • Weekend call: generally 1 weekend per six-week schedule.
  • Call response time is 30 minutes.
  • Hospital policy allows cancellation of up to 4 shifts within a 13-week assignment.
  • Charting is conducted via EPIC.
  • Trauma Level: 1.
  • Care setting: Acute.
  • Shift notes: 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
