Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) specialist position is based in a healthcare facility in Merced, California. This role involves supporting the cardiac catheterization procedures within the unit, working alongside experienced staff to assist with cases ranging from diagnostic caths to complex interventions. The position is suitable for qualified professionals with a minimum of two years of relevant experience and requires flexibility in shift scheduling.

Job Details:

  • Shift: 10-hour day shifts, typically starting at 7:00 AM, with flexibility for earlier or later scheduled cases.
  • Schedule: (4) 10-hour shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM, with possible call.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); a minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac catheterization.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PCI, peripherals, diagnostic caths, nephrostomy tubes, IVC filters; knowledge of balloon pumps; STEMI experience; training capacity to help train new nurses.
  • Responsibilities: Support cath lab procedures including PCI, peripheral studies, diagnostic caths, and device placements; circulate during procedures; assist in training staff where applicable.
  • Certifications: ACLS and BLS are required.
  • Environmental Notes: Myjourney modules will be assigned during orientation; no scrub or call currently required; no scrubbing experience necessary; no trauma level designation specified.
  • Additional Information: The facility uses Cerner and Sensis electronic charting systems, with Merge for some documentation.
  • Submission Requirements: Valid license to submit; candidate must be eligible to work and meet all credentialing requirements.
