Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Dulles, Virginia. This role involves providing inpatient behavioral health care within a 17-bed unit, supporting patients with diverse mental health needs. The selected candidate will collaborate with staff and utilize minimal equipment to deliver compassionate and effective care aligned with hospital policies.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; inpatient behavioral health RN experience; CPI training; BLS certification; fingerprinting clearance; at least 0 years of experience; located in or willing to work in Dulles, VA
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech documentation system; strong interpersonal and clinical skills in behavioral health settings
• Additional Information:
  • Unit staffing includes 2 RNs and 2 BHU Technicians per shift
  • No floating policy; staff available with 2 BHU Techs
  • Minimal equipment usage; medication administration, lab draws, and accuchecks performed on unit
  • Dress code: Navy scrubs
  • Staff follow hospital specific policies and guidelines; CPI and BLS certifications required
  • In-house sitter pool and security support available for patient needs
