Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Float Position

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Float Nurse Albany, NY. This position involves providing compassionate, high-quality care to adult patients across medical-surgical units in a busy healthcare facility. The role requires flexibility to float between units while maintaining excellent clinical skills and adherence to hospital protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice in New York, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and a minimum of 0 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic health record experience, competency testing within 24 hours of submission, and prior experience at a large academic hospital with over 600 beds.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must be able to follow facility-specific policies and SOPs, including the use of designated scrubs and dress code. Experience with electronic medical records and competency testing procedures is highly preferred.
