Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Specialty position located in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves providing acute care surgical services in a busy hospital setting. The position requires flexibility to cover night shifts and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: California licensed OR RN with trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing, BLS certification, and experience with Epic charting system required. Completion of 40 orientation hours.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma and neuro cases, previous travel nursing experience, able to float within the hospital or nearby facilities.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Applicants need to have trauma, neuro, vascular, and ortho experience due to trauma status. Must be willing to work up to 8 shifts per 6-week period that may include nights, evenings, and weekends. The role involves coverage of complex surgical procedures, including trauma, neuro, and vascular cases, with no unit secretary on night shifts. Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Candidates will need to submit two references covering at least one year. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
