Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in Rochester, New York. This role involves providing specialized care in a Level 2 NICU, focusing primarily on neonatal health and maternal health services. The position requires the ability to float to postpartum units when necessary and to manage baby-catching procedures for cesarean sections within a dynamic clinical environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Rochester, NY 14621
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 4x12-hour days/nights with a minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • NY state license required and must be in hand prior to submission
    • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a NICU or comparable setting
    • EPIC electronic charting system experience is mandatory
    • Able to baby catch in OR for C-section cases
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Float rotation to postpartum may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Contract length of 13 weeks with possible extension
    • First-time travelers are accepted
    • Candidates outside a 75-mile radius are not eligible to apply
    • Travel experience is not explicitly required but preferred
    • Ability to bill for up to 5 hours spent on modules; total module time may reach 10 hours, with any excess non-billable
    • Background policy reviewed on a case-by-case basis
    • Return staff policy requires 1 year in current role or similar
