Registered Nurse / Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Registered Nurse position in Rochester, New York. The role involves providing specialized care in a Level 2 NICU unit, which aligns more with Women`s Health services rather than critical care. The selected candidate will work night shifts, with rotating weekends, and may need to float to Post Partum units for Baby Care. Candidates must have a valid New York license prior to submission and be located more than 75 miles from the facility.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: New York license (must be in hand prior to submitting), at least 1 year of NICU experience, charting experience with EPIC, and the ability to baby catch in operating room for C-section cases
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level 2 NICU units, Women`s Health services, and working within a community hospital environment
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to Post Partum units for Baby Care
  • Additional Information:
    • Must have a minimum of 1 year of neonatal care experience
    • Experience with modules (up to 5 billable hours, total may reach 10 hours) is required; modules are completed pre-start and recorded via facility reports
    • Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
    • RTO (reasons for time off) requests exceeding 10 days will not be submitted
    • Background policy is reviewed on a case-by-case basis
