Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in Danville, Virginia. This role involves providing patient care on a 24-bed medical surgical floor at an acute care facility. The position is a contract opportunity starting on August 18, 2026, with nights shifts and a weekly guarantee of 36 hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Virginia RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience, and eligibility to work as an RN in Virginia.
• Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of Med/Surg experience.
• Additional Information: The unit serves all age groups with a patient ratio of 1:6. The facility has 24 beds with comprehensive surgical and emergency services, including advanced wound healing and cardiac rehabilitation. Attention to professional demeanor is expected, with a dress code of any scrub color.
