Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse Riverside, California. This position involves providing specialized care within the Labor and Delivery department, supporting maternal and neonatal health through various clinical functions. The role requires collaboration with an experienced team to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring certifications; minimum of 0 years of experience; flexibility to float to Postpartum and Couplet Care units is preferred.
  • Unit Information: Labor beds 11, with 4 for evaluation, 2 OB PACU, and 2 operating rooms. The department staff includes 79 members, with teams split across day and night shifts. Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients during the day and 1 RN to 1 patient at night.
  • Procedures & Equipment: NST (Non-Stress Test), cervical exams, management of labor, medication titration, and McRoberts maneuver; GE fetal monitoring equipment.
  • Personality Fit: Organized, thrives in dynamic environments, able to handle busy workloads with a caring demeanor.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring required.
  • Additional Information: No specific unit policies or weekend/on-call requirements explicitly outlined, but on-call may be needed to meet staffing needs.
