Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Oncology Floor registered nurse position is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves providing comprehensive clinical nursing care to patients with complex oncological conditions. The nurse will coordinate and deliver patient-centered care utilizing the nursing process within a hospital setting, adhering to professional standards and safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Active North Carolina RN license
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
  • Nursing diploma, Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • At least 2 years of outpatient chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
• Treatments/Services:
  • Chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions
  • Blood product administration
  • IV iron, fluids, and electrolytes management
  • Port lab draws and injections
  • Patient and family education and emotional support
• Additional Information:
  • The role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective communication systems to ensure high-quality, safe oncology nursing care. Candidates must be proficient in point of care testing and healthcare standards, with a focus on providing education and emotional support to patients and families.
