Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor care is sought for a healthcare organization located in Portland, Maine. This position involves providing patient-centered nursing services in a busy medical surgical unit. The role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on teamwork and quality care delivery.

Job Details:

  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, recent acute care experience, charting and EMR experience, BLS certification, recent (minimum 1 year) nursing experience in acute care, Maine state licensure or eligibility, reliable, punctual, patient-centered care orientation
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medical Surgical patients and handling a mix of medical and surgical cases, strong communication skills, teamwork-oriented personality, professional appearance and grooming
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on the specified date
  • Additional Information: The role involves providing care for a diverse patient population with medical and surgical needs; equipment used includes specialty beds, vital sign monitors, overhead lifts, and other mobility tools. Flexibility regarding floating may be required based on skill set.
