Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator position available in Jackson, Kentucky. This role involves working independently in a fast-paced surgical environment, providing safe, high-quality patient care, and performing essential responsibilities such as assisting surgeons and managing operative supplies. The schedule is dayshift with a start date of August 10, 2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 2 years of OR experience including prior travel experience, ability to work independently in a fast-paced surgical environment, and previous OR experience required. The position involves regular call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surgical assistance and familiarity with hospital policies and regulatory standards such as the State Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines.
• Additional Information: The operating room nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills in planning and delivering patient care during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring supplies, managing case timeliness, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting during surgeries, and supervising personnel delivering patient care. This role is for one position to cover leave, with no local candidates accepted.
