Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing specialized care for obstetric patients, including high-risk obstetrics and postpartum/postnatal care. The role requires delivering quality patient care, assisting with labor and delivery processes, and supporting neonatal and maternal health within a busy labor and delivery department.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of experience, certifications including ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and neonatal care.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to meet facility needs within scope of practice.
- Additional Information: This role supports a culturally diverse patient population and involves circulating during cesarean sections. Candidates should be comfortable with high-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and neonatal procedures, including assisting with sterile speculum exams, vaginal deliveries, and neonatal assessments. Orientation includes 40 hours. Candidates must be flexible to work night shifts and commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays.
