Job Description

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery department located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with hospital standards and unit policies. This role involves utilizing the nursing process to monitor and evaluate patient functional status, providing culturally sensitive and psychosocially considerate care to patients undergoing labor and delivery.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings shift, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License; completion of basic professional nursing curriculum approved by a state board of nursing; 0 to 6 months of related experience; Epic experience (Muskogee preferred); working knowledge of disease state management processes, bio-psychosocial model, and clinical pathways; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work effectively; attention to detail in examining clinical and numerical data; certification in BLS, NRP, and proof of instruction or passage of Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience in South or Yale locations.
  • Additional Information: The nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver patient-centered care, participate in patient education and discharge planning, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support hospital goals through peer review and educational activities, and attend mandatory in-services to meet unit education standards.
